Walt Disney World in August

The month of August in Disney World is a mixed bag in terms of crowd levels and pricing but the one factor that holds constant all month long is the hot, steamy weather.  The first few weeks of August will see the month’s highest crowds which will diminish as the month continues.  Like the other summer months, August will have longer park hours allowing guests to enjoy the parks late into the evening without the hot, Florida sun.  August is {Read More}

Walt Disney World in December

December in Disney World has a split personality.  The first few weeks of the month, through around December 19th, see lower pricing and relatively low crowds.  The latter part of the month is a whole different story, with the last 10 days of December seeing some of the highest pricing and crowd levels we will see all year.  That said, many people consider December their favorite time to visit as it is possible to enjoy all of Disney World’s holiday {Read More}

Walt Disney World in November

Overall, November is a lovely time to visit Walt Disney World.  The weather has finally cooled down and crowds remain low with the exception of Thanksgiving week.  Beginning around Thanksgiving, the holiday decorations start arriving around the Disney theme parks and resorts and, while crowded, Thanksgiving at Disney World is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.  If you are planning to visit during turkey time, be sure to plan your dining as far in advance as possible, {Read More}

Walt Disney World in October

I love Disney World in October.  The heat is beginning to diminish, crowds are generally low, prices are good and the Magic Kingdom is all decked out for Halloween.  The Food and Wine Festival is in full-swing at Epcot and there are lots of opportunities for Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party.  October is another month that allows you to visit the parks at a leisurely pace while still getting to enjoy a great deal of Disney magic! Crowd Levels {Read More}

Walt Disney World in September

If it fits your family’s schedule, September can be an excellent time to visit.  Crowds are at some of the lowest levels we’ll see all year with the exception of a few weeks in January.  If heat and humidity are an issue, the weather in September is very similar to that of the summer months with high temperatures and frequent afternoon thunderstorms. While September in Florida is still hot, without the press of the crowds you can take things at {Read More}

Muppets Most Wanted Extended Game Day Trailer!

I am so excited about the revitalization of the Muppets.  Growing up, the Muppets were a huge part of our family life.  We watched the Muppet Show with my dad on Saturday nights and saw all the movies in the theaters.  Later, when VCRs came out, The Muppet Movie was one of the first ones we rented. A couple of years ago I purchased the entire collection of the Muppet Show–Seasons 1, 2 & 3–for my girls on DVD, and {Read More}

Disney’s #Frozen Sing-a-Long Now in Theaters!

Great news for Frozen lovers everywhere–and this is certainly the case for the girls in our house!  Friday, January 31st is the opening date of the sing-along version of the award winning Disney film Frozen, featuring Kristin Bell and Idina Menzel as princesses Anna and Elsa.  My girls bought the soundtrack on iTunes and have been listening to and singing along with it pretty much non-stop since we saw the movie.  I find myself singing the songs on my own {Read More}
